About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Modern Workplace Consultant/Lead to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for helping clients transform their work environments using Microsoft’s modern workplace solutions. With deep expertise in SharePoint, Microsoft Purview, and Microsoft Copilot, you will design, implement, and optimize collaborative solutions that enhance productivity while ensuring robust security and compliance.

As a Modern Workplace Consultant/Lead, you will partner with clients to understand their business needs, assess their current technology landscape, and design tailored solutions that empower users to work smarter and more securely in the modern digital workspace.

Key Responsibilities

Consulting & Solution Design

• Work closely with clients to understand business goals and workflows, and provide recommendations on how Microsoft tools (SharePoint, Purview, Copilot) can enhance collaboration, productivity, and security.
• Lead the design and implementation of customized solutions that leverage Microsoft technologies to optimize business processes and improve user experience.
• Develop and maintain strategies for implementing modern workplace capabilities and integrations, ensuring alignment with business needs and IT infrastructure.

Microsoft SharePoint Expertise

• Design, deploy, and manage SharePoint environments to improve document management, team collaboration, and intranet solutions.
• Provide expertise in SharePoint Online, SharePoint Framework (SPFx), workflows, and content management, ensuring clients achieve effective collaboration.
• Support clients with migrations from legacy systems to SharePoint and implement best practices for governance and data management.

Governance Strategies

• Advise on data governance strategies and implement governance tools (Microsoft Purview, etc.) to ensure that client data is protected, classified, and compliant with industry regulations.
• Guide clients in managing data lifecycle, data loss prevention (DLP), and retention policies, ensuring that sensitive data is secure and meets compliance standards.

AI Integration

• Implement and integrate AI solutions (Microsoft Copilot, etc.) within the workplace to enhance productivity and assist users in navigating Microsoft 365 tools.
• Help clients leverage Copilot’s AI-driven insights to automate repetitive tasks, generate intelligent recommendations, and improve decision-making.

Security and Compliance

• Provide guidance on best practices for securing modern workplace environments, including the implementation of Microsoft Defender, identity and access management (IAM), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and role-based access control (RBAC).
• Advise clients on Zero Trust security models and how to leverage Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance tools to safeguard user data, prevent breaches, and ensure privacy.

Training and Support

• Deliver training and knowledge transfer sessions to clients on Microsoft 365 tools, SharePoint management, Microsoft Purview governance, and security best practices.
• Provide ongoing support to clients post-implementation to resolve issues, perform updates, and ensure continued optimization of their modern workplace solutions.

Collaboration & Communication

• Work with cross-functional teams (technical, business, and support) to deliver seamless end-to-end solutions.
• Act as a liaison between technical teams and client stakeholders to ensure clear communication and successful project delivery.

Qualifications and Experience

Experience & Expertise

• 5+ years of experience as a consultant or in a similar role focused on Microsoft technologies in a modern workplace environment.
• Strong experience with SharePoint Online, including design, deployment, administration, and custom development.
• Proficient in Microsoft Purview, including data governance, compliance, and security functionalities.
• Deep understanding of Microsoft Copilot capabilities and AI-driven productivity solutions.
• Experience in implementing security best practices using Microsoft Defender, Azure AD, MFA, and other security tools.

Technical Skills

• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 suite (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, etc.) and collaboration tools.
• Expertise in Power Automate and PowerApps for workflow automation.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies (Azure) and experience with hybrid environments.
• Experience with SharePoint Framework (SPFx) and custom SharePoint development is a plus.

Soft Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple client projects simultaneously.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
