Project Manager

What We Offer

At Convverge, we build business-level applications on Microsoft Azure, SharePoint, and the Power Platform that solve complex, high-stakes problems for our clients. We’re regional leaders in a growing cloud technology space — and we’re growing with it. You’ll work alongside developers, architects, and designers who take quality seriously, on projects that challenge you to think beyond the task in front of you.

About Our Team

We’re a close-knit, high-trust team that moves fast and counts on each other to deliver. We’re passionate problem solvers who lead with quality, not just in what we build, but in how we work together and with our clients.

We believe small, empowered teams do their best work when they’re trusted to own outcomes. That means less bureaucracy, more accountability, and the kind of environment where your contributions are visible and your growth is real.

We value diverse backgrounds and experiences, because the best solutions come from teams that don’t all think the same way.

About You

Convverge projects move fast, span multiple clients simultaneously, and require someone who can bring structure to a complex, technical environment. You are equally at home running a discovery workshop as you are managing a project plan. You ask the right questions before work begins, you surface risks before they become problems, and you earn trust through consistent, reliable delivery.

You bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams — translating needs into action and keeping delivery on track when complexity increases. If that describes how you work, we’d like to meet you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of concurrent client projects across the full project lifecycle (from requirements and solution design through to deployment and hypercare) ensuring consistent delivery quality and on-time, on-budget outcomes.
  • Coordinate cross-project dependencies, resource conflicts, and scheduling across related client engagements, acting as a program-level coordinator where multiple workstreams are running in parallel for the same client.
  • Own project economics end-to-end: track budgets weekly, monitor burn rates against estimates, flag variances early, and manage scope proactively to protect project margin and minimize write-offs.
  • Champion structured delivery practices and gate-based project controls, ensuring the right work happens at the right time with the right approvals in place.
  • Control scope and change management rigorously — document all change requests, quantify impact, and secure appropriate approvals before work proceeds.
  • Lead requirements gathering workshops and stakeholder interviews to surface, document, and baseline business needs with precision — ensuring clarity before solution design begins.
  • Develop process maps, user stories, and acceptance criteria that give development teams a clear, unambiguous foundation to build from.
  • Serve as the primary client point of contact for your project portfolio, providing proactive status updates, managing expectations transparently, and escalating risks before they become issues.
  • Produce clear, professional project documentation including business requirements, project plans, status reports, risk registers, and governance communications.
  • Collaborate with solution architects and developers to translate business requirements into actionable implementation plans and validate delivery through structured testing and UAT processes.
  • Partner with senior leadership on project proposals, estimates, and scoping — contributing to realistic budgeting and risk-aware planning from the outset.
  • Support the growth of junior Project Managers through day-to-day collaboration, knowledge sharing, and adherence to team delivery standards.
Qualifications and Experience
  • 3–5 years of project management experience, ideally within a Microsoft consulting, technology partner, or enterprise IT environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead requirements elicitation workshops, develop process maps, and produce user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects simultaneously, balancing competing priorities across different clients or business units without dropping the ball.
  • Proven track record of client-facing project delivery — comfortable owning difficult conversations, managing expectations, and maintaining trust when projects get complex.
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, with enough technical fluency to credibly engage with developers and solution architects without needing to be one.
  • Experience with budget tracking, burn rate monitoring, and scope management on fixed-price or time-and-materials engagements.
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365; working knowledge of Azure DevOps or similar project tracking tools is a strong asset.
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) and/or Dynamics 365 is a significant advantage — you’ll be managing projects built on these platforms daily.
  • PMP, CAPM, CBAP, CCBA, or equivalent certification is an asset but not required — we care more about how you’ve delivered than what’s on your wall.
  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Benefits
  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • Opportunity to join a growing dynamic team.
  • Career advancement and professional development opportunities.
  • Work with cutting-edge technologies and industry-leading clients.
