About the Role

The Practice Lead, ERP (Business Central) is responsible for leading the successful delivery of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central projects while guiding and developing our ERP consulting team. This role blends hands‑on consulting expertise with delivery oversight, solution leadership, and collaboration across Sales, Technology, and Solution Development.

You will serve as a senior advisor to clients, a mentor to consultants, and a leader who ensures our ERP engagements are efficient, high‑quality, and aligned with customer business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Practice Leadership & Collaboration

  • Contribute to the ERP practice roadmap, service offerings, delivery templates, and best practices.
  • Partner with Sales to support opportunity qualification, scoping, level‑of‑effort estimates, and proposal input.
  • Build strong relationships with Microsoft and ecosystem partners to strengthen Convverge’s ERP capabilities.

Engagement & Delivery Oversight

  • Act as solution lead or engagement lead for Business Central implementations.
  • Oversee delivery governance including project health checks, risk management, and quality reviews.
  • Support presales demonstrations, solution design sessions, and estimation activities.
  • Ensure best‑practice methodology and standards are applied consistently across all ERP engagements.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Mentor and coach ERP consultants, supporting skill development and certification planning.
  • Contribute to resource planning, staffing assignments, and onboarding of new ERP team members.
  • Promote a collaborative, supportive, and accountable team culture.

Hands‑On Consulting Delivery

  • Lead configuration, process mapping, solution design, and implementation activities on Business Central projects.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor bridging client business processes with ERP capabilities.
  • Collaborate with technical teams on integrations, reporting, data migration, and customizations.

Operational Support

  • Contribute input to practice‑level forecasting, capacity planning, and improvements to delivery frameworks.
  • Monitor key delivery metrics such as utilization, project performance indicators, and client satisfaction.
  • Provide insight and recommendations to leadership to continuously improve the ERP practice.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Proven experience delivering end‑to‑end Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar ERP projects.
  • Strong consulting background including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, and support.
  • Experience leading teams, mentoring consultants, or acting as a senior/lead consultant on projects.
  • Excellent communication and client‑facing skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Microsoft Dynamics certifications such as MB‑800 or MB‑820 are strong assets.
  • PMP, Scrum Master, or similar project credentials are beneficial but not required.
