Meet Jordan Hunter: Cloud Infrastructure Consultant at Convverge
From broadcasting studios to cloud architecture, Jordan Hunter’s career trajectory might seem unexpected—but his passion for technical problem-solving has remained the constant thread throughout his professional journey. As a Cloud Infrastructure Consultant at Convverge, Jordan brings a unique blend of media production know-how, IT expertise, and an undeniable enthusiasm for helping clients secure their digital environments. From Camera Operator to Cloud Officionado
Jordan’s journey into technology began somewhat unexpectedly. With a Broadcasting Diploma from Mount Royal University, his initial passion was for the technical aspects of media production: running the switch board, operating the red-eye camera, and video editing.
This technical curiosity led him to his first IT role on the Service Desk for CNRL. Eventually, during his time as a deskside technician at TC Energy, Jordan discovered cloud computing and developed a deep interest in Intune and Microsoft 365 system administration. A colleague eventually connected him with an opportunity at Convverge, and as Jordan puts it, “the rest is history.”
Where Growth Mindset Meets Great Culture
What excited Jordan most about joining Convverge was “the opportunity to join a team with a growth mindset that enjoys the work they get to participate in everyday.” The culture and people, combined with the diverse talent and skill sets on the team, made Convverge an exciting company for him to join.

Leaning Into the Art of Cloud Security
Jordan brings valuable certifications to our team, including: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals; Microsoft Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals; and Microsoft Identity and Access Administration. His favourite aspect of working in IT? Providing technical solutions that solve client problems—or better yet, prevent them altogether.
Looking ahead, Jordan aims to develop into a Cloud Security Architect relied upon for designing and implementing customized cloud security solutions. This aligns perfectly with his passion for security architecture and his personal interest in ethical hacking—the practice of running simulated attacks on computer systems and networks to test them for vulnerabilities.
Beyond the Office
Behind Jordan’s technical expertise is a person guided by a simple yet powerful philosophy: “Karma – the firm belief that putting positivity into the work returns that positivity back tenfold.” That’s the kind of infectious positivity we’re happy to have around the office.
